Total cost: is composite or wood cheaper?
A wooden pallet looks cheap up front; but the ISPM-15 fumigation/heat-treatment fee in export, short service life and frequent replacement raise the total cost. Because a composite pallet needs no ISPM-15, it removes these costs; thanks to a high reuse count and long life, the cost per pallet falls below wood over the long term.
